Barbara Wilkes sat in the waiting room of the emergency room when Dr. Brooks came up to her with a woeful look. “Is he all right, doctor?” asked Barbara in a soft, hushed tone. “He seemed fine last night…” Dr. Brooks glanced at the chart in her hands. “Mr. Wilkes seems to have Landry-Guillain-Barré syndrome.
